The follwoing answered roll call: Bryan, Goodell, Jewell, Nelson, Pyles, and Robbins. Mayor Gn mon enters Cornncil.room and takes chair. City -attorney Johnson reported that the Injunction case had been dismissed and tempore_ injwiction dissolved. rJ Nelson seconded by Bryan moved that the report be ac: epted. Carried. Ordinance 7345 read by Title only. Pyles seconded by Jewell moved that the ordinance be passed and adopted over t1e Mayor',, Vetd. Upon roll call all councilmen voted Y�:S. Ordinance #346.read by title only. Robbins seconded by Soodell moved that the ordinance be passed and adopted over Mayor': Upon roll call_ all councilmen voted YDS. Permit from :Jar Department to construct ,nd maintain an intalm for water supply in the Columbia Rive- was read. Pyles seconded by Nelson moved that the permit be acs epted. Carried. En ineer R. 19. Murrayreported on the plans and specifications .and presented same. Robbins secomded by Nelson moved that April 15th. 1924 be set as date of completion of work. Carried. Nelson seconded by Pyles moved that the plans and specifications for construction of wa r system as submitted. and detail drawings therewith as amended bg adopted abd the City Cle publish c8.11 for bids according to form prepared and a amended, bids to be suhTitted no later than Dec. 18th at the hour of 8 P. 14., Bids to be submitted on form of proposal as prepared by Engineer Murray. Goodell seconded by Pyles moved that the letter be placed on file. C�irried. Letter from Mr. I.V. H. McKeown in regard to bowling alley received. He forwarded V8.&� to pay for license on one alley for one year. Pyles seconded. by Jetell moved t1 -.t , license be granted for twee months on four for $8.00. Carried. A petition requesting an extension of the service line•,of the �acific Power --:nd Light Co on Front Street to "A" Street was read. Nelson seconded by Bry m moved th t the petition be referred to the light and w ter comnittee. C pried. � Light nd water coi-�mittee recommends that the ptition be granted. Bryn seconded by Nelson moved tl,-t the report be-ccepted slid the P cific Power and Light Comp ny extend their sertice line on Front L;treet from Y -ruin Street to A Street. Carried. The Police and License committee reported that after investigation they recommend th,t the license on drays as outlined in Ordin�-_nce No. 888 be left as it is. Jewell seconded by Bryn move' th--t the report be accepted. Carried . Report of Poloce Judge Bean read. Nelson seconde' by Bryn moved th t the report be accepted and placed on file. C!1 rried. Mayor instructed water committee to investigate site for new wtaer tank. Pyles seconded by Goodell moved that the City :.ttorney drawb up 6n ordinance in regard to cha rge s for building permits, subject to the •c pproval of the ouncil. Ca rried , Bryan seconded by Pyles moved th t council proceed to comply with ordinance No. 346 -nd elect a vr-ater manager. Carried. G. G. C•,ndee nomim-ted.
