October 16, 1923.
The Council met in regular session with Mayor G n -on presiding.
The following answered, roll call: Bryan, Goodell, O'Herin, Jewell end Pyles.
The minutes of October 1st and Ind were read. Robbins entered co-neilroom.
C. W. Johnson withdraws claim for $12.00 for code and asks police department to return
same.
Letter from U. S. Rubber Co, to Mayor G n non in regard tofire Eose read.
letter from U. S. Rubber Co. To Chief Puryear in regard to fire hose and Puryeors reply "fere
read.
Letters from U. S. Rubber Compare to Puryear and his replies were read.
Resignation of :1. P. '9ehe from Park Board was read.
Robbins seconde' by Goodell moved that the resignation be accepted.

An ordinance providing for the issuance of ?,',150,000 of Special Water Revenue Bonds in
accord.lnee with the it oposition submitted by Ordinance No. 341, of the City of Pasco,
passed nd approved 1.4ey 1, 1923, and adopted by the voters of said City of Pasco at an
election held therein on June 2, 1923, providing for the form rP and details of such
bonds and the establishment of a proper Rand for the payment of principal and interest
thereof, and ratifyigg the sale thereof, and providing for the delivery off said bonds"
wRylweadeconded by Goodell moved that the ordinance be declared to have had its first
reading.
Upon roll call all councilmen voted YES:
Pyles secondel by Goodell moved that said ordinance be read by title only m d be declared
to have had its second reading.
Upkn roll call all wouncilmen voted Yes.

O'Herin seconded by Robbins moved teat the Mayor appoint a committee xat to negotiate
with the Northern Pacific Railway Company for a deed for the property where the new
pump plant is contemplated to be erected.

Robbins, Jewell and Pryan appointed to work with Engineer Lurray.
Kyles seconded by Bryan moved that the City Clerk advisethe Pacific Power and light Co.,
that the City is ready for the deed and bill of sale of the water system and to send s,�me
to The City Treasurer, First National Bank -or The Yakima: Trust Company for collection.
Carried.
O'Herin seconded by Pyles moved that t- special committee be appointed to meet with the
City -ttorney to draft an ordinance for regulating new w.--- er system.
BRyan, Jewell. and Robbins voted No, Goodell, O'Herin, and Pyles voted Yes. Motion lost.
Jewell seconded by Bryan moved that the matter be referred to the water committee.
Upon roll call Bryan, Jewell and Robbins voted YES; Goodell, O'Herin and Jewell voted N0.
Motion lost.
Pyles seconded by Goodell moved that the City attorney draft and Ordinance and present
to the City Council.
Varried.
Letter from C. W. Clausen, Diretor Division of Municipal Corporations in regard to
payment of "85.00 to C. Iff. Johnson for services was read.
Mrs. Bert Car roll appointed to the Library Board to fill vacancy.
Robbins seconded by Goodell moved that the appointment be confirmed.

Mr. R. B. Cady spoke in regard to report of Engineer Collins on the gas.
Robbins secoAded by Pyles moved that the City purchase the report of Engineer Collind
for ';x'100.00.
Upon roll call all couneilmen voted YES.
Pyles seconded by Goodell moved that the meeting adjourn.
Carried.

literature and price of their sewer cleaning machine and to place the letter from the
Turbi* Sewer Maching Co on file.

Mr. J. i9. Hays asked that the council repeal the ordinance or that section of the
ordinance th�it refers to the licensing of trucks for Braying.
Bryan seconde' by Jewell moved that the Police and License Co--mittee investigate the
ordinance and report t the next regular meeting,

Letter from Mr. IV. H. McKeown in regard to bowling alleys was read.
Robbins seconded by Nelson moved thhat the letter be placed on file and Mr. McKeown be
advised that a°- loang as the alleys are not used as public alley ho license required and
clerk notify s^me for private use only.

Report of Committee to investigcte proposition of getting a deed from the Northern
Pacific Railway comittee for land where the new pump house Is to be located given.
Advise deed can be obtained.
