Opinion of C. W. Johnson on irrigation water was read.
Pyles seconddd by Goodell moved that the council request 1r. Murray to ascertain what in
his opinion would be as to a reasonable charge for water furnished four units in the t'it.
Carried.
Pyles seconded by O'Herin that Water Superi.ntend-�nt Sargent be instructed to install a
Wier in the West Side Service Lateral for the district to serve the City of Pasco with its
allowance at a convenient point and Sargent confer with Engineer Murray.

Bryan seconded by Goodell moved that the City Council recommend that the general orddr
of business be suspended betwenn the hours of 1 P. M. and 2. P. M. on Friday : ugust 10th'''
Mayor issue proclamatian on same and City Ftre Chief toll bell during hour designated for
dervices in memory of our departed leader Prseidnet Harding.

Bill of Franklin County Itrigation District No. 1. for $2600.00 read.
O'Herin seconded by Goodell move' that the bill be allowed and warrants be drawn for same
against the pro er funds.
Upon roll call all councilmen voted YES.
Bill of $174.0 for water for City Park for years 1918-19-20-21 was read.
Pyles seconded by O'Heri.n moved that the bill be referred to a committee.

Mayor Gannon referred the bill to the Street and Alley comittee.
Letter (from C. M. O'Brien in regard to irrigation water read.
Pyles seconder' by Bryan moved that the communication be placed on file.

Letter from thepgcifie Power and Light Company offering to take 60 00 for the �-
water system protriding the City would give a certain franchsie for a period of 50 years
was tread.
Pyles seconded by Goodell moved t at the communication of the Pacific Power and Light Co
with franchise be referred to committee to be appointed by the Pkr. or. Said Committee to
meet with a representative of the Pacific Power and Light Company and attempt to negotc:te
purchase of plant and consider the granting of a franchise. Same to arontain mutual
obligations that may be best- to the best interest of city covering service and maintenance
of lighting equipment in city including present cluster lighting difficulty. This
committee be authorised to meet at t time and place agreed upon with representative
of the Pacific Power and Light Company and report aft next council meeting.
Carried.
Petittion for sidewalk imrpovements.in Owens and Steefins amended additions was read.
Pyles seconded by O'Herin moved that the matter be refereed to and engineer ±KX and he
prepare estimate of cost and City Attorney prepare ordinance.
Carried.
Report of Police Judge Bean was read.
O'Herin seconded by Bryan moved that Ordinance No. 342 be continued until next meeting.
Carried.
Clai m of John 11. and Mary Sweeney for damages in the -moimt of `;1225.00 was read.
Pyles seconded by Goodell moved that thenmatter be referred to the City Attorney for
investigation.
Carried.
