The Council met in regular session with Mayor Gannon presiding.

Pyles entered councilroom immediately after roll call.
The minutes of May 1st were read and there being no objections the May or declared them
approved as read.

Letter from Franklin County Irrigation District Number one in regard to irrigation water
for the City of Pasco was r:ad.
O'Herin seconded by Nelson moved that the City Council are of the opinion that the
communication from Franklin County Irrigation District Number one in regard to the increase
of water charge to the City of Pasco contains estimates of unreasonable cost of furnishing
water to the City and same be placed on file until actual cost per acre can be d3termi.nod.
Carried.
The fire chief presented rate of pay and list of members of fire depattment.
City Council resolves that the re commendation of fire chief under date of May 14th,1923
as to pay be aRproved and volunteer members of fire department serving shall be pai said y,
rate, to -wit: -p1.00 for answering an alarm where no water of fighting is needed, $3.00
for first hour of fighttLtg or fraction thereof and $2.00 for each hour following, upon
vouchers certified by chief or assistant zs to attendalce at fire and fire.
O'Herin seconded by Pyles moved the resolytion be adopted.
Upon roll call all councilmen voted YES.
Letter from Mayor Gannon in regard to gambling was read.

attention.

Bryan seconded by O'Herin moved that the clerk write andze quest that he try and get the
Northern Pacific Railroad Company to pay one half of the charges for a matron. The City u
is willing to pay one half of the expense of a matron for the sumer months, June, July,
August and September at F salary not to exceed $80 per month between the hours of 9 B. K.
and 3 A. M. pursuant to understanding dtith committee.
Upon roll call all councilmen voted Yes except Robbins who voted NO.

every month as provided by ordinance.

Nelson seconded by O'Herin moved that the Pacific Power and Light Company be instructed
to commence operation on power line from Lewis Street extending out on Elm Street.

if we have $300 coming from the state for permanent highway fund.

A. J. Copeland spoke on tourist park and requested the city to put .in -toilets at city p,
and council allow chamber of commerce to charge SM 50V per car per night.
Pyles seconded by March moved that in consider tion of The Chamber of Commerce making
certain improvements as outlined, toilets with sewer connection, lights, and keeping
portion of park in sanitary condition the South End is sej ap-rt to the Chamber of
Nommerce to be used as a tuuri.st park for the season of 19 83 permission be granted to
them to make a charge for service r,ndered of 50¢ per car per night. Permanent improveme
to remail property of City of Pasco.
Carried.
