HEREWITH was read.
Nelson seconded by Pj*es moved that the ordinance be passed and sdopted as read.
Upon roll call all councilman voted YES.
Mayor Gannon appointed Chief of Police Puryear fire chief and D. Butler assistant.
Nelson seoond:id by Bryan moved that the appointments be confirmed.
Carried.
Nelson seconded by Goodell moved that Chief of Police employ a plumber to inspect heating
plant and to make report at neat meeting.

Bill of J. T. Sargent for streetwork in the amount of 0150 and bill of Levi Clayton for
street work in the amount of $140waseread.
March seconde• by Robbins moved that the bills be allowed and warrants drawn for same.
Upon roll call all councilmen voted YES.
Bids in regard to cleaning up garbage were opened.
Bryan seconded by Robbins moved that city council accept bll proposition for removal of
garbaa$$e/submitted by G. L. Giezentanner be accepted and prices so submitted be recommended
to ctidzendw4he said C. L. Giezentanne- to collect for service from citizens and the poli
departi be instructed to assist the said C. L. Giezentanner in enforcing the ordinance
for removal of garbage and refuse and clean up city.
Carried.

Nelson seconded by Goodell moved that the licence of G. L. Jessop be revoked.

Ro ins seconded by March moved that the license of Ed Massey be revoked on account of lice
secured under misrepresentation and because of selling liquor.
Carried.
Pyles seconded by Nelson moved that the MW or appoint a committee to serve with City
Attorney Johnson in regard to irrigation water.
Carried.
Bryan, Robbins, and Goodell appointed.
Goodell seconded by Robbins moved the meeting adjourn.

The Council met in regular session with M7 or Gannon presiding.
The following answered roll ea7.1: Bryan, Nelson, Pyles, Rob -ins, and O'Herin.
Robbins seconded by Nelson moved that we suspend regular form of business and take up more
important business and revert back to regular order of businbes.
Carried.
Councilman Goodell enteredtCAuncil room.
Nelson seconded by Bryan moved that the City Treasurer be instructed to draw assessment
rolls for2 districts 25, 43 and 44 maintenance for 1923 and present to city Council.
Carried.
The following bills approved by the claims committee were read:

Goodell seconded by O'Herin moved that the b ill of Hamley and gammann for 150 for XRay
work for J. E. Sullivan be allowed and warrant drawn for same.
Ypon roll call all councilmen voted Yes and same was paid under voucher number 3156
A letter from Stevens and goon was read.
Nelson s conded by O'Herin moved that the letter be placed on file.
Carried.
A letter from C. V. Savidge in regard to our tide land contract, -was read.
Pyles seconded by Nelson moved that we forward contract and p5 as requested in order to get
deed. Upon roll call all councilmen voted YES.
A letter from Mrs. E. W. Newman was read in regard to enforcement of ordinances.
Robbins seconded by Goodell moved that letter be placed on table. Motion withdrawn.
Nelson seconded by Pyles moved t#at City Clerk be instructed to write Mrs. Newman notifying
her that the council will do all in their power to enforce ordinances.
Carried.
A letter from the Christian Endeavor pledging their support to the Police Department was
read.O'Herin seconded by Nelson moved that the Clerk write the Endeavor thanking them for
their cooperation. Carried.
A letter from the John E. Price and Co. in regard to water system wa read.
Nelson seconded by O'Herin moved that the Clerk acknowledge receipt and place on file.
Carried.
Mr. Boulter spoke in regard to the street in front of his place and reference was also made
in regard toAtirs street b*ween.10th and 13th.
Goodell seconded by Robbins moved that the mater be referred to the Street abd Alley Comm
ittee. Carried.

Nelson seconded by Pyles moved that the City Clerk write Johnson Heating Cc that our heting
system has been giving us considerable trouble and that they should ddnd their field man
to inspect same at their own e-.:-pense.
Carried.
Mr. L. B. Atterbury appeared before the council in regard to alley between 12thaand 13th Ste
O'Herin seconded by Robbins moved that the Street and Alley Cor-nittee investigate conditions
in blocks 26 and 27 Riverside Addition.
Carried.
C. N. Boulter and others petitioned City Council for a light on the'West corner of 11th
�nd A streets,
elson seconded by Bryan oved that the petition be handed to the light and water co mittee
w4th power to act.
Carried.
Minutes of Feb. 6th were read and there being no objections the mayor declared them approved
as read.
Belson seconded by O'Herin moved that the meeting adjourn.
