The Iconnleil met in regular session with Mayor Warden presiding.
The following answered roll call: Goodell, Haylett, March, Nelson and Robbins.
The minutes of December 30th were raed and there being no objections the Mayor declared
them approved as read.
The following bills approved by the claims committee were read:

Robbins seconded by melson moved the meeting adjourn. Carried.
The new council consisting of Gannon Na, YWor and the following as councilmen took their
seats: Robbins, March, Goodell, Pyles, Bryan, Nelson and Sargent.
Clerk reported he had the oaths of office of new members and necessary bonds of clerk and
treasurer.
Mayor Bannon made the following apponitments:

Street and Alley
Nelson, BryFn and Pyles.
Water and Light:
Goodell, Sargent, and Pyles.
Police and Licenses:
Belson. Goodell, and Pyles.

Nelson seconded by March moved that the appointments be conformed.
Carried.
Chief of Police Puryear appointed P. A. Thomas and D. Butler as patrolman.
Bryan seconded by Goodell moved the apponitments be confirmed.
Carried.
Nelson seconded by Robbins moved that J. T. Sargent be appointed water superintendent.
Carried.
Resignation of J. T. Sargent as councilman was read.
March seconded by Nelson moved that the resignation be accepted.

The vote upon be lot was Barnes 3 and Haylett 3.
Upon a second ballot the vote stood the same.
Robbins seconded by Nelson moved that the council reconsider the appointment of new council-
man.
