The following answered toll call: Heylett and Robbins. Robbins secondod by Haylett moved that the meeting adjourn to meet Nov. 9th. VCarrled. Passed for approval tht8.day of Nov. 1922. The follwoing answered roll call: Goodell, Haylett, March, Nelson, F.obbinsip add Sargent. The minutes of October 17th were redd and there being no objections the Mayor declared them approved as reald. Goodell appointed to serve on the claims committee. Upon roll call all councilmen present voted Yes. Aletter from John E. Price and Co. of Seattle was -read. A letter from Wobthington-Pai %y -M Pump and Machinery Co. Seattle was read. A letter from the Columbia Valley Municipal League was read and it was suggested that the clerk write and find out how many had paid in ther quota. A communication from the Public SeAleb Co Pasco was read. Haylett seconded by Nelson moved that it be resolved that the Public Scales Company be granted permission to install a public scale in north and south alley in Block 19 Gerry's Addition, centre of foundation of scale to be 54 feet distance from manhole in centre of East and West alley in said block 19, said scale to be so constructed and occupied so as not to obstruct the free use of said alley, except during period of construction. Carried. A letter from the library board recoTiunending Mrs. Jahnke to be appointedto the libarj< board was read. Mayor Warden appointed Mrs. Jahnke on the library board. Nelson seconded by March moved that the appoinimmdnt be confirmed and she be notified. Carried. Reports of the police judge for July, August, Spptember and October were read. An ordinance amending ordinance No. 290, the same being "An ordinance fixing the salaries of the City Treasurer, City Clerk, and City Atyorney" so as to change the salary of the City Treasurer, was read. Haylett seconded by Nelson moved that the ordinance be passed and adopted as read. Carried. Nelson seconded by March moved that the bid of the Pasco Plumbing and Heating Co for pipe fittings for dead ends on irrigation laterals be accepted and purcahsing agent purchase same. Carried. Goodell seconded by Nelson moved that we get in touch with the Cougty Engineer in regard to oiling of roads and have Mr. Boak get prides on oil. Carried. Robbins secondel by Nelson moved that City Clerk advertise for bids on "triple combination" pump, chemical and hose car fully wqul)pped-pump to be 250 to 300 gallons per minute at 120r pressure, chassis and motor sRfficient to handle equipment under all conditions4p chassis 11 to 2ton, Full specifications to accompany bids, allowance to be made if city furnish chemical tanks; Bidder to mount same. Bids subject to rejection. Bids to be-re-ve received not later than December 5th. Carried.
