Nelson seconddd by GoDdell moved that the Pacific Power and Light Co be instructed to »lace 500 watt lights in place of the 800s and a tin shade or reflector on lights at LeA.s Stredt Railroad crossing. Carried. Nelson seconded by Robbins moved that Clerk instruct Pacific Power and Light (Do to i give a schedule of nui,ber of lights of each different size that are used also advising i amount charged fro same. Carreid. Resignation of H. C, Rupple as councilman to tale effect at once was read. Robbins seconded by Ha:, -lett moved that the resignation be accepted and he be thus notifi �d. Carried. E. J. Reynolds nominated to fill the balance of Rupples term. Hayl.dtt seconded by Nelson moved that the nominations close and Clerk cast unanimous ballot for Mr. Reynolds and notify him. Car rie d . Ilelson seconded by Goodell moved that the present police matrons be retained and placard be placel in conspicuous places in the dance halls setting forth which dances are pro- hibitel by Ordinance. Carried. Zaylett seconded by Nelson moved that the American Legion be granted permission to rope off Second Street between Lewis and Clark fnd use of.same for purpose of putting on a dance or other shows providing they pay fees as provided by Ordinances. Carrued. Nelson seconded by Goodell moved that the Street Co--missioner gftant permit to Weber and Wendlenerger to plank side walk on the North Side of Lewis St. between Third and Fourth to haul dirt to basement of their new building. Carried. Application of John Edwards to operate pool hall and sdit drink establishment read. Nelson seconded b'7 Robhins moved that _license be granted. Carrie d .
