Cady seconded by Nelson moved that section be amenTed to read" fifteen miles per hoar
over Ainsworth and "A" Street crossings and ten miles per hour over Lewis Street Crmssing".

Cady seconded by Haylett moved that the proposed ordinance be tabled indefinitely.

Newman seconded by Johnson moved that applications for licenses to operate pool halls
should be
approved by City Council and therdor section three was
so amended and voted up' -i•

as to read" Any proprietor,
agent or
employee of such pool hall or soft drink parlor shall be
liable and may ire pro-
secuted
for the violation of any part of this ordina ee and the pssession
of any liquors
of a greater alcoholic content than 1/2 of 1% in any pool or soft
drink parlor shall be
prima facie evidanoe against the proprietor, agent of employee of
such place that he has
violated
this ordina nee. Carried.

FOR THE VIOLATION OF THIS ORDINANCE."
Newman seconded by Cady moved that police matron be appointed by Mayor and approved by
the City Council instead of by the Chief of Police and Mayor and approved by the Council.

Cady soqq reed by Johnson moved that section two of said ordinance be amended to read as

Nelson seconded by Cady moved that section eight be amended to read"The City Clerk shall
issue sucD license upon approval of the City 9ouncil and provided further, that the City
Council may in their discretion refuse or revoke such linense when public interest wor.l.d
be subserved thereby.2 Carried.
Newman seconded by Johnson moved that ordinance be declared to have had its third reading
and pawed . Roll Call: Cady, Goodell, Haylett, Johnson, Illeson, and Ilewman, voting YES.

Newman seconded by Nelson moved that Chief of Police be anthotized to keep on two extra men
the balance of this month retaing the married men. Carried.
Nelson seconded by Goodell moved that we adjourn. Carried.
