IThe Council met in adjourned session the meeting being called to order by Itayor PJarden.
The Follo,,•;ing answered to roll call: Cady, Johnson, Goddell, Haylett, Nelson, Newman,
The Clerk read the minutes of February 1, 14, and 15th.
Nelson seconddd by Newman moved that the mini.tos as read be accepted. Carried.
The following bills approved by the 91aims committee were read by the Clerk.

Nelson seconded by Newman moved that bills as read by The Clerk be allowed.

A communicatipg fr4lislk Sisters of St Joseph was read asking for the privelege to wait
until the hospitalrto finish the cement sidewalk on fourth street.
Newnan secondee by Goodell moved that request be granted and that Drs. Hamlejd and Kammann
also be notified that they may wait until such ti:,ie as the Sisters repair thier walk.
Carried.
Nelson seconded by Nevnnan, moved that a new lie,ht be placed on the South Side of Lewis
Street at The N. P. Crossing and a refletor be put on the other lights now there and also
(that the petitions for a new light at 12th and "A" Streets and one at Bridge and "B"
iStreets be granted also that P. P. & L. Place refle ftors on all lights when necessary.

Newman seconddd by Nelson moved that I1ofhern Pacific be notified that the City is to
install a new light at the Lewis btreet crossing and that they are willing at all times
to cooperate to make the crossing safe. Carried.
Newman seconded by Haylett motred that P. P. & L. be instructed to give location of all
lights and hydrants that City pays for giving rate paid and character of eachF Carried.

Johnson seconded by Nelson moved that the matter of Awarding contract for the removal of
garbage be deferred until the next meeting of the Council. Carried.
!The Clerk read an Ordinance "RElating to intoxicating liquors, prohibiting the manufacture,
possession, sa-e or dispostion thereof, and providing for search and seizure and destruction�
and the forms of procedure and rules of evidence,, and fixing penalties for vilatinn hereof."
Newman seconded by Goodell moved that the prorosdd ordinance have had its first reading.

(Haylett seconded by Newman moved that the proposed ordinance be given its tecona reading by
title only. Carried.
