October,21,1919
Council met in regular session,following Councilmen being present,Aldrich,
Haylett,Olson,Stinson. Mayor Henderson presiding.
Clerk read minutes of meeting,of October 7th. No objections being het:rd
Mayor ordered miniites approved as read.
A delegation from the 'Nomens Club appeared and asked for the co-opperation
of the Co-ncil in their effort to hive the City cleaned of Russian Thistles.
Council agre:d to do so.
Aldrich and Olson appointed to act on Claims Committee,in the absence of
Davis and Cady.
Moved by Stinson,seconded by Aldrich,That City Clerk be authorized to draw
salary warrants the First of each month.
Carried by acclamation.
Moved by Stinson,seconded by Aldrich,That Street Commissioner be authorized
to employ one or two men to prune trees as soon as practical and possible.
Carried by acclamation.

that Curfew Ordince will be enforced,

Communications.
H.B.O'Brien,calling attention o£ the council to the unsanitary conditinn
of the Railroad Stock Yards,a.sking for the support of the council in his
effort to h_ve Yards removed from present location.
Moved by Aldrich,seconded by Stinson,That communication be placed on file.

Petitions.
D.Brandt,asking for permission to excavate for and place a gasolene
tank in front of Building known as Brandts Garage,on ','!.Lewis Street,between
Tacoma Ave and First Street.

to meet with the approval of the Street Commissioner,and petition filed.

1.D.Schutt,asking for plumbers licence.

be granted to ri.D.Schutt upon filing proper bond.

investigate and take such action as they sea proper.

Moved by Cady,ceconded by Stinson,Th::t Chief of Police be allowed to
hire a man to do janitor work -expense x not to exceed $10.00 a month.

Moved by Davis and seconded, That Telephone in Fire Department be
ordered removed untill such time as it is needed. carried.
