Willison presiding.
Clerk read minutes of meeting of September 20th, 1918. No objections
being raised, mayor ordered minutes approved as read.

Movod by Jones, seconded by Chute that the mater of water meters be
laid on the table temporarily. Motion carried by acclamation.
Clerk read following resolution:
"Resolved that Pacific Power & Light Company be and is hereby requested
to install, maintain and operate under the city's present street lighting
agreements with said company and for the remainder of the term thereof,
twenty-eiF_ht (28) 400 Putt Type C. 'neandescent electric lamps installed or
to be installed in the City of Pasco in place of a like number of arc lamps now
being- maintained and operated bn said com-^nv in saia ci T '_nr, r rresent
lighting agreements an that the city pay to said company f -r maintaining and
operating said 400 Matt incandescent lamps the same price per lamp as the city
is now paying for the operation of said are lamps, to -wit : the sum of Five
Dollars and Fifty Cents ($5.50) per lamp per month, It is further directed
that such new lights be installed at the same corners where the are lights now
are."

Motion carried by acclamation.
Councilman Jones reported f or Light and ;Tater Committee that after investi-
gation of the matter of installing a new light at South Beech and Selena Streets
that the committee wo-:ld not recommend such installation.

on light at Beech and I=elena Streets, be accepted. Motion ca...•ried by acclamation.
City Clerk reported thot two ladies from Ease Side has requested rim to
inform the coluicil that there now was a pole line to within half a block of
the corner where the new light -.;as desired and that the Pacific rower & Light
Company had agreed to run the necessary lines and install the street lir-ht
petitioned for providing a suf.-icient number of consumers wo,.:ld install

Pacific Power & Light Company to install an incandescent lamp at the corner of
South Beech and Helena Streets. I:Iotion carried by acclamation.
Col.ncilman Henderson as Chairman or the Clai es committee reported that the
Claims Committ recommended that the bill the ldorthern Pacific Railway Comrany
be not allowed.
Moved by Cady, seconded by Jones; that the Northern Pacific Bill for work
on A. ,treet crossing be disallowed and returned to the railway company.
Lotion carried, all councilmen conciwring.
Hoved by Cady, seconJed by Chute that the Clerk be instructed to write to
11r. Fleet of the National 11eter Company and ask him to be present at the ne::t
regular meeting of the council. Motion ca_•ried by acclamation.
Moved by Chute, seconded by Cady that the city barn be cleaned up and
closed as "ar as stock is c.)ncerned. Roll call shows all councilmen voting
in favor of motion. Motion carried.
Ivioved by Cady, seconded by Cole that 1.1r. Chute be made chairman of a
committee of three councilmen to make arrangements for a Pound for the city.
Motion carni ed by acclamation.
Mayor appointed Chute, Cady and Henderson as committee to act.

An. Ordinance amending Section 22 of Ordinance No. 288 entitled ".1n
Ordinance to license certain trades and occupations in the City of Pasco,

Be IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY CIIUNCIL OF TIE CITY OF PASCO, ';lASHIPIGTON:
SECTION 1. That Section 22 of Ordinance Ido. 288 be and the same is
hereby amended to read as follows:
Section 22. Any person, firm or corporation required under the terms
of t1is ordinance, or any section thereof, to pay any license, or from whom
any license fee herein provided for shall be due, and. who shall fail, neglect
or refuse to pay the same at the tide and in the manner in said ordinance
required, shall be guilty of a misdomeanor, and upon conviction thereof,
shall be fined in any stun not exceeding ;3100.00 or iinprisoned in the city
jail for any period not exceeding thirty days, or by both such fin• and
imprisonment, and in addition thereto shall be reglired to pay the said
license. All ordinances or parts of ordinances requiring, the payment of
any license fee to the City of Pasco, except that requiring a licence fee
for the tapping of irrigation mains and that requiring the payment of dog
licenses are hereby repealed.
This ordinance shall be in force and effect from and after its passage
and publication.

instructed to draw up an amendement to Ordinance No. 288, providing for
an alternative licenr;e of �?'40.00 per annum on dance hall or open air
pavillion or yJ2.00 per clay. Motion carried by acclamation.
