Moved by Haylett, seconded by Jonas that ordinance be given its second reading by title only. Motion carried, all councilmen concurring. Clerk read ordinance for second reading by reading title only. Moved by Haylett, seconded by Aldrich that ordinance be declared to have 453 Pasco, October 1, 1918 Coiuicil met in regular session, the following named councilmen answering roll call, viz: Cady, Cole, Chute, Haylett, Henderson, and Jones. Mayor Willison presiding. Clerk read minutes of meeting of September 20th, 1918. No objections being raised, mayor ordered minutes approved as read. Clerk read following resolution: "Resolved that Pacific Power & Light Company be and is hereby requested to install, maintain and operate under the city's present street lighting agreements with said company and for the remainder of the term thereof, twenty-eiF_ht (28) 400 Putt Type C. City Clerk reported thot two ladies from Ease Side has requested rim to inform the coluicil that there now was a pole line to within half a block of the corner where the new light -.;as desired and that the Pacific rower & Light Company had agreed to run the necessary lines and install the street lir-ht petitioned for providing a suf.-icient number of consumers wo,.:ld install I 454 electric -.tDves and maintain them. Motion ca_•ried by acclamation. Moved by Chute, seconded by Cady that the city barn be cleaned up and closed as "ar as stock is c.)ncerned. Roll call shows all councilmen voting in favor of motion. Motion carried. Ivioved by Cady, seconded by Cole that 1.1r. Chute be made chairman of a committee of three councilmen to make arrangements for a Pound for the city. Motion carni ed by acclamation. Ordinance amending Section 22 of Ordinance No. 288 entitled ".1n Ordinance to license certain trades and occupations in the City of Pasco, +ash i ng to n. " Be IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY CIIUNCIL OF TIE CITY OF PASCO, ';lASHIPIGTON: SECTION 1. That Section 22 of Ordinance Ido. 288 be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows: Section 22. Any person, firm or corporation required under the terms of t1is ordinance, or any section thereof, to pay any license, or from whom any license fee herein provided for shall be due, and. who shall fail, neglect or refuse to pay the same at the tide and in the manner in said ordinance required, shall be guilty of a misdomeanor, and upon conviction thereof, shall be fined in any stun not exceeding ;3100.00 or iinprisoned in the city jail for any period not exceeding thirty days, or by both such fin• and imprisonment, and in addition thereto shall be reglired to pay the said license. All ordinances or parts of ordinances requiring, the payment of any license fee to the City of Pasco, except that requiring a licence fee for the tapping of irrigation mains and that requiring the payment of dog licenses are hereby repealed.
