The CI'T'Y COuPICIL of the City of Pasco do ordain as follows: Section 1. That beginning January ist, 1917, the City Treasurer shal, perform all the duties her-tofo_,e imposed -pon he lire Cbiaf, rnd sha'l be empowered to employ one n'ght assistant at a Salary of Ten Dollars (10) per month, and one night helper at a selary of Foir (4) Dollars per -gonth. Section 2. That beginni.ig January 1st, 1917, the Cit,j Treasnrer shal perform the duties of Se:'er Inspector and shall have general supervis i over the sewer ystem of tine City and issue any and all peri.lits for connce,' therewith end shall be ch_:rged with the duty of seeing that such system i in repair. Section 3, That that part of Ordinance No. 262, and all other ordin;_ncec or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed. Mayor appointed Mrs. Geo. H. Hazzard as a rm:mber of the Library Board to fill vacancy caused by regisnation of .-.rs. P. F. Motion carried by aahlamation. Clerk read reports for november of Police Justice and Chief of Police. !.loved by Steffins, seconded by Holt, that reports of Police Justice and Chief of Police be accepted and placed on file. Ilotion carried, all councilmen concurring. IJovedby Steffins, seconded by Holt, that the Chief of Fire Department, City Clerk and Councilman Harr! s?n, 'be appointed a committee of three to purchase necessary supplies for the fire department for 1916. Motion carried, all council- men voting in favor of same . Mxwa±xkX Council then proceeded to canvass the votes cast at the city Election hold December 5th, councilmen Holt, Steffins and Falk acting as Tellers. Result of the canvas was reported as follows; G. E. Willison, 184 votes for mayor. R. B. McFarland 193 votes for City Treasurer. C. A. Dolan 187 votes for Clerk. C. I:I. O'Brien 166 voted for City Attorney. ''W. T. Anderson 176 votes for councilman four year term. Ch; s. Allard 168 votes for councilman for four ye!r term. R. C. Bannerman 87 votes for councilman for four yacr term. A. M. Hay lett 162 votes for councilman foryear term. Moved i)y Harrison, seconded by Falk, that the following named candidates, having received the highest number of votes cast for their respective offices, 361 be declared by the council to be elected as follows: Mayor - G. E. Ylillison Clerk C. A. Dolan Treasurer R. B. McFarland C. I.1. O'Brien Councilman - 4 -year term 1,9. T. Anderson, Ch -s. Allard and R. C. Bannerman. Councilman at large, 2 -year term - A. M.
