declared to heave its first reading. Motion carried, all councilmen concurring.
Moved by Steffins, seconded by Reardon, th^t ordinarce be given second reading
by reading title of ordinmce only. Motion carried by acclamation.
Clerk read ordinance by reading title "In ordinance prescribing certain duti -1

Council met in regular session, the following n•med councilmen answering
roll call - Chute, Reardon, Holt, Meckel -nd Steffins; Mayor Davis presiding.
Clerk read minutes of regulsr ngeting of October 17th, --nd November 14th,
Suggested by councilmen Steckel thtt minutes of meeting of taovember 14th
be corrected, referring to the call for specitll sesdon of the council, in
order that minutes of the meeting agree :,ith notice served on councilmen.
Also that item of amount of warrant drawn for City Treasurer be corrected
to read 995.00 inste-gid of $85.00 T�s read by clerk. No other objecti-ns
to minutes, Liayor ord-�r-,d minutes of both meetings to standapproved as re,.d.
Moved by Reardon, seconded by Steffins that action of &Ir. Steckel in
having changes made in the heating system of the city hall, be approved by
a vote of the coukeil. Motion carried, all councilmen concurring.
Third reading of Ordinance as follows, was had by clerk.
ORDIN:?NCE No. 274.
An Ordin�:nce fixing the SALARIES OF THE CITY ATTORNEY, CITY CLERK
AND HEALTH OFFICER.
The City COCi!CIL of the City of Pasco do ordiin as follows:
Section 1. Thct beginning with the fiat d,y of J.nuary, 1917, the
salary of the City attorney shall be ;,p20.00 (Twenty) Dollars per month.
Section 2. Th. --t beginning with the first day of January 1917, the
salary of the City Clerk shall be 5,,30.00 (Thirty) Dollars per month,
,nd there sh,7Jl be no allowance for assistance or office help except
such as may from time to time be alloied by the council.
Section 3. That beginning with January lst, 1917, the cal=ry of
the City Health Officer shall be Five (�5) Dollars per mouth.
Section 4. Thtt portion of Ordinance No. 262, and all other ordinances
or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed.

The CI'T'Y COuPICIL of the City of Pasco do ordain as follows:
Section 1. That beginning January ist, 1917, the City Treasurer shal,
perform all the duties her-tofo_,e imposed -pon he lire Cbiaf, rnd sha'l be
empowered to employ one n'ght assistant at a Salary of Ten Dollars (10) per
month, and one night helper at a selary of Foir (4) Dollars per -gonth.
Section 2. That beginni.ig January 1st, 1917, the Cit,j Treasnrer
shal perform the duties of Se:'er Inspector and shall have general supervis i
over the sewer ystem of tine City and issue any and all peri.lits for connce,'
therewith end shall be ch_:rged with the duty of seeing that such system i
in repair.
Section 3, That that part of Ordinance No. 262, and all other ordin;_ncec
or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed.

two pair rubber boots, a rubber coat and a pyrene for use of fire department.

Clerk read Ilds of the ',Vhite Enver lumber Company and Tum-a-Lum Lumber Company
for fuel for use at city hall and library. Moved by Reardon, seconded by Steffin ,
that bids for coal be referred back to bidders and that they be requested to bid
according to advertisement. 1.1otion carried by acc'amation.
Mayor appointed Mrs. Geo. H. Hazzard as a rm:mber of the Library Board to
fill vacancy caused by regisnation of .-.rs. P. F. Leonard.
