Council met in extra session, following notice to councilmen duly served,
for the purpose of allowing bills for October, cr,nvassing votes of Prim- -ry
and handling other matters thtt might come before ti -.e co-°ncil.

Election: Loved by Reardon, seconded by Falk, that all vouchers for city

Clerk read reports of Police Justice n,. Chief of Police for the
month of October, 1916. T:Ioved by Steckel, seconded by Reardon, th• t
reports of officers be accepted as read and placed on file. I.Iotion
carried b-- acclamation.
Moved by Holt, seconded by Steffin.s, that the Clerk be instructed to
adver-.ise for bids for steam coal for city hall and library, to be delivered

required, ten tolhs for library and twenty tons f r city hall. 1dotion
carried by acclam tion.
Council proceeded to ca.nvas,c the vot•eaof the Prim: ry election held
on Ilovember 7th, 1916. After canvassing the ret-,,rns as made by the election
officers of the three precints of Pasco, the following named candidates were
fond to hive receiv d the highe st num:ter of votes cast for the respective
offices, as n-ned, viz:
IViayor - G. E. Wi Lison, 252 votes
Attorney, - C. M. O'Brien, 206 votes
Treasurer - R. B. i.IcFarland 251 votes
Clerk - C. A. Dolan, 396 votes
Councilman, 4 -year term

having received the highest number of votes for their respective offices,
be declared to be the nominees of the Progressive League Party and that their

for I,fayor, R B. McFarland, for Treasurer; C. A. Dolan for Clerk; C. M.
O'Brien, for Attorney, W. T. Anderson, Chas. Allard and M. D. Sheffield,
for colnlcilffi'n for four-year term, and f',. 11. Haylett, councilman for At -large.
Motion carried, all councilmenconcurring.
Clerk read an ordinance entitled "An ordinance fixing the salaries
of the City Attorney, City Clerk and Health Officer". eMoved by Reardon,

seconded by Steffins, that ordinance as read/the Clerk be declared to have had
its first reading. Motion carried, all councilmen concurring.
