Moved by Reardon, seconded by Holt that Mayor Davis'hetion in the matter of fire chief's voucher, be concurred in by the council. !!Motion carried, all councilmen voting in favor of same. Motion carried by acclamation. Clerk read letter from r'ire Cheif E. B. Raymond, resigning the position o_F' Pire Chief, to take effect September 1st, 1916. Clerk read communication from State Board of accountancy requesting council to include item of expense for auditing in 1917 budget, iao objections being raised, Mayor ordered comnunicction accepted and placed on file. Mayor Davis appointed A. F. Wehc to act as Police Justice. Mayor Davis appointed Will Davis to act as fire chief. Moved by Reardon, seconded by Chute that Appointment of Will Davis as vire Chief be confirmed. All councilmen voting in favor of same, motion carried. Moved by Aeardon, seconded by Steffins, that appointment of A. F. Wehe as Police Judge be confirmed. Motion carried, all councilmen concurring. Moved by Holt, seconded by Steffins, that Clerk be instructed to write to different cities within the state of similar size as Pasco, and get estim^ted as to the cost of carrying on the city government.
