Council met in regular session.
Following named councilmen answered roll call: Chute, Falk, Harrison, Bolt.
Reardon, ateckel and Steffins.
carried.
Committee appointed to Wait uupon Twin City Telephone Company in regard to
better telephone service, reported that the manager of the Twin City Telephone
Company had agreed to h^ve installed by July 1st of this year a complete up-to-
date telephone system and to commence work on the re -construction „ithin six
weeks from date, vix; January 21, 1916. Moved by Steffins, seconded by Holt,
that any further action in the matter of Telephone service be deferred until
next regular meeting. All councilmen voting Aye, motion carried.
Platter of firemen's salaries was discussed, iaoved by ateffins, seconded
by Steckel that the mater of salaries for city firemen be referred to Committee
on Light, Fire & Water, for investigation, with instructions to confer with Chief
of fire Department. All councilmen voting Aye, motion carried.
} hatter of purchasing certificates for Absent Voters to be used by Regis-
tration Clerk was discussed. Moved by Harrison, seconded by Holt, that City
Clerk be allowed power to purchase 50 blanks for Absent Voters. All councilmen
voting Aye, motion carried.

Moved by Holt, seconded by Chute, that the City Library be covered by
insurance as follows: 5x4000.00 on building and •;;1000.00 on contents -nd
cancellations be made accordingly. All councilmen voting Aye, motion carried.
Gerard Ryzek in behalf of the Cord Theatre Company, cnd Mr. Durham in
behalf of the U. S. Steam Laundry appeared before the council and requested
that the City Council take action to reduce or revoke city licences imposed
upon Laundries and Theatres. Moved by Holt, seconded by Reardon, that the
matter of City licences be referred to the Committee on Police & Licences
to report at next meeting. Carried, all councilmen voting Aye.
Ilayor informed the council that there was a judgment on record in favor
of the City of Pasco against A. R. Garay and asked that council take some
steps for collection of same. Moved by Holt, seconded by Harrison, that the
matter of the Garey Judgment be referred to the City Attorney. All councilmen
voting in favor of same, motion carried.
Hoved by Reardon, seconded by Steckel th-:it the matter of uncollected licen-
ces due the city be referred to the City Attorney. All councilmen voting Aye,
motion carried.
Moved by Reardon, seconded by Harrison, that the City attorney be instructed
to draw an ordinance providing for a clergy_ in the City Clerk's office at a salary
of ;y29.00 per month, commencing January 4, 1916. All councilmen voting Aye,
motion carried.
Moved by Reardon, seconded by Harrison, that the Committee on Streets and
Alleys make recommendations in the matter of cleaning streets and that such
recommendations be submitted at next regular meeting. All councilmen voting Aye,
motion carried.
Motion to adjourn carried.
