agent of the decission of the uity Council.

Council ,et oubject to an adjournment of December 21st, and was
called to order by I:Iayor Zent.
Councilmen Reardon, Kenoyer, Steffins, Schmidtman, Steckels.snd
Augustavo, answered roll call.
Moved by Stec' -el, seconded by 'Schmidtman, that the regul.,-,r order of
business be dispensed with and the matter of purchasing a Municipal weigh-
ing scale be discussed.
Motion carried and so ordered.
The bids for a scale of 15 tons capacity with a platform, 8 by 22 feet
were received and reviewed,
One form r•red D. Adams, of the Howe Scale Company for '365.00 and one
from J. B. Frem, of the Fairbanks, I:Iorse & Uompany, for 295.00 Both prices
F. 0. B. Pasco, the City to furnish the foundation, the Co.to install scales.
Moved by Schmidtman, seconded by Steckel, that the Did of the i -air -
banks, Morse & Company, be accepted as the lowest and best bid, and that
a warrant be issued iri::ayment of said scales at the price stated and held
in escrow until the said Company should furnish a bond of ip1,000.00 that
said scales would be installed in a workmanlike manner within 30 days from
she (Late of receiving the order and then said warrant to be turned over to
said Company.

should not be paid.
