The following councilmen reported present on roll call: Bradshaw Cox Hunt Kerfoot Sylvester flloved and seconded that the minutes of the previous meeting be adopted as read. The new Cit -j Attorney, Gerard Ryzek, proceeded to read the follor•,inG reports which had previously been classed as new business. Library ' The report of Halter Ricks in regard to the Library Fund was read. On motion duly carried same was accented and ordered placed on file. Applicat- The application of J. H. James as caretal_er of the City Parl_s for the year 1913 ion J. H. J^^es. was read. On motion duly carried said application was -referred to the Committee on Streets, Alleys, Parks & Cemetery. L.I.D. 20. Moved and seconded that the City Clerk be instructed to advertise for protests i regard to L. I. D. ITo. 20 to be heard February 18, 1915, at 8 o'clock at the regular meeting. in she City Hall. Notion carried and so ordered. Later on the advice of the City Attorney the matter was postponed. The ISayor requested Professor Richs to give his opinion of whether the -present curfew law was of any benefit to the school children or not. The Professor's state was as follows: That at the presort time he laiew of several children who now spent their evenin,rs at home that had previously been spending the greater part of their evenings around torn somewhere and that these satmo child - ]ren now had better lessons and were core reg<ilar in their attendaruco at school and that he thought the curfew law was of great benefit.
