HomeMy WebLinkAbout3621 ResolutionRESOLUTION NO. 30a) I A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE PLANNING COMMISSION'S RECOMMENDATION AND APPROVING A SPECIAL PERMIT FOR THE LOCATION OF A POLICE COMMUNITY SERVICES BUILDING AT 525 N 3RD AVENUE. WHEREAS, The City of Pasco, submitted an application for the location of a Police Community Services Building at 525 N 3rd Avenue (Tax Parcel 112 028 298); and, WHEREAS, the Planning Commission held a public hearing on January 15, 2015 to review the proposed Police Community Services Building; and, WHEREAS, following deliberations on February 19, 2015 the Planning Commission recommended approval of a Special Permit for the proposed Police Community Services Building with certain conditions; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PASCO: 1. That a Special Permit is hereby granted to the City of Pasco for the location of a Police Community Services Building in a C-1 (Retail Business) and R-3 (Medium Density Residential) District under Master File # SP 2014-011 with the following conditions: a) The new police station building must be developed in substantial conformance with the site plan submitted with the Special Permit application b) The landscaping strip along Nixon and Sylvester Streets shall conform to the current City of Pasco Municipal landscaping requirements for commercial buildings. c) All safety and architectural lighting on the building shall be shielded to prevent light encroachment onto adjoining properties. d) Architecture of the new facility shall be complementary to that of the existing City Hall. e) Exterior finishing materials shall complement that of the existing structure as closely as possible. f) Any and all parking lot lighting shall be shielded to prevent light encroachment on adjoining lots. g) The special permit shall be null and void if a building permit has not been obtained by August 1, 2016.
