I. Call to order at 5:34p.m.

II. Approval of Previous Meeting Minutes (August 7, 2014) – Moved by Abigail Kidd,
seconded by Jason Ruud – Approved.
III. Staff Reports
a. Recreation Highlights
i. Cable Bridge Run will be held on December 20. At this point we are doing
pretty well on registrations and are ahead of where we were last year.
ii. New Recreation Guide is out.
1. We dropped the glossy cover and as a result were able to spend less
money and still make the guide 4 pages longer than previous guides.
2. We included a "Collaborative Programs" section that contains the essential
information for community partner's programs.
iii. Adult Basketball has started and is full.
iv. Youth Basketball practices have started and our numbers are about the same
as last year.
b. Senior Center Highlights
i. The Annual Breakfast with Santa is coming up on Saturday December 13th
from 8:30 am to 10:30 am.
ii. The Rolling Hills annual Christmas program will be held on Thursday,
December 18 beginning at 6:30 pm.
iii. Ran out of ALTC money for 2014 in November. The City is now providing
the service to our clients for the remainder of the year.
1. The last day of foot care for will be December 11th. We are closing down
a week earlier than normal because of the budget shortfall.
2. Because of the budget shortfall, we have fewer appointments available
each day that our nurse works. This pushed our available appointments
out farther. We are currently booking for the middle of February.
iv. A private pay foot care program will begin Friday, January 30th. This
program is for all adults 18 years of age or older, regardless of where they
live. We will begin taking appointments for that on Monday, January 12,
2015. Those appointments will be every other Friday. Clients will be
required to pre-pay for their appointments.
c. Park Maintenance Highlights
i. Personnel Activity
1. Attended Monthly Safety Meetings.
2. Attended Playground Inspectors Certification Course
3. Attended the WHO Aquatics Conference
ii. Park & Facility Projects
1. Burned tumbleweeds
2. Thinned brush around Animal Control
3. Leaf removal
4. Replace lights at Peanuts Park with LED
5. Painted fields for Grid Kids and Flag Football
6. Winterized Gesa Stadium
7. Winterized irrigation systems
8. Clean shoreline at Chiawana
9. Lost three trees to vehicles
10. Ice melt for 2 storms
iii. Cemetery
1. Staff out on Medical Leave
iv. Special Events
1. Assisted Recreation with Hayride
2. Assisted Recreation with Cross Country Race
IV. Other
a. Updated the board on Memorial Park and Richardson Park projects.
V. Council Member Suggestions & Report
a. Robert asked about smoking marijuana in parks
