Re: Change Order it Reconciliation of bid item overages/underages.
The reconciliation as as follows:
Schedule A (Hillsboro, Street):
#7. Paving Fabric- Actual area where fabric was placed was smaller than indicated on plans.
#8. HMA Cl. %" PG 64-28 (2")- Rebuild of intersection as indicated on plans was not required. Area
was overlaid instead resulting in additional square yardage.
#9. HMA CI. %" PG 64-28 (4")- Line item was intended to rebuild the intersection. It was elected to
not rebuild the intersection due to the acceptable condition of the existing asphalt.
#15. Plastic Line- Plastic line not placed thru intersections as indicated on plans resulting in
decreased quantities.
#16. Plastic Stop Line- The width of the roadway was slightly wider than the plans indicated
resulting in increased quantities.
Schedule B (Railroad Avenue):
#5. HMA CI. %" PG 64-28 (4")- Limits of paving increased to include additional damaged asphalt.
#6. Micro -surfacing- Area of microsurfacing was smaller than indicated on plans.
#8. Wattle- Wattles were not used due to no storms systems.
#9. Plastic Line- Bid quantity included plastic line thru the intersections. It was decided to not
stripe thru the intersections as indicated on the plans.
#10 Plastic Stop Line- Amount installed was less than indicated on plans.
Schedule C (Industrial Avenue):
#6. Plastic Line- Actual length was less than the estimated quantities.
#7. Plastic Stop Line- Actual length was less than the estimated quantities.
Schedule D (4th Avenue Microsurfacine):
#5. Microsurfacing- Actual area was less than the estimated quantities.
#6. Paint Line- Actual length was greater than the estimated quantities.
#8. Plastic Wide Line- Actual length was greater than the estimated quantities.
Schedule E (4`" Avenue Overlay):
#6. Crushed Surfacing Top Coarse (4 -in.) -Area of the ADA ramp replaced was larger than indicated
on the plans.

#7. Planing Bituminous Pavement- Area of planning reduced due to issues (blowouts) with the
existing asphalt depth.
#8. Paving Fabric 1- Reduced to fewer cracks than originally estimated.
#9. HMA CI.1/2" PG 64-28 (2 -in.)- Change Order 5 paid for paving as unit price was renegotiated
due to drastic reduction in area.
#11. Adjust Manhole- There were additional manholes not indicated on the plans.
#15. Adjust Monument Case- There were additional monument cases not indicated on the plans.
#16. Remove and Replace Concrete Sidewalks, Complete- Areas around ADA ramps needed
replaced was greater than indicated on plans.
#19. Plastic Line- Actual length was greater than the estimated quantities.
#20. Plastic Wide Line- Actual length was less than the estimated quantities.
#21. Plastic Stop Line- Actual length was greater than the estimated quantities.
#22. Plastic Cross Walk Line- Actual area was less than the estimated quantities.
4`h Avenue Corridor Base Bid
#13. Landscape Fabric- Actual area was less than the estimated quantities.
#14. Crushed Surfacing Top Course (4 -in.)- Plans and Specials did not include the rock required
under the sidewalks.
#15. HMA Cl. %" PG 64-28 (2 -in.)- The amount of patching behind the sidewalk at various business'
parking lots was greater than the estimated quantities.
#16 HMA Cl. f" PG 64-28 (4 -in.)- The amount of patching in front of the new curbs was greater
than the estimated quantities.
#17. Cement Conc. Traffic Curb- It was elected to replace some of the existing sub -standard curb
causing in increase in the final quantities.
#18. Cement Conc. Driveway Curb and Gutter- Actual length was greater than the estimated
quantities due to additional driveway width at Tri -cities Battery.
#19. Cement Conc. Curb and Gutter (Type A)- Actual length was less than the estimated quantities.
#20. Cement Conc. Driveway Entrance- Actual area was greater than the estimated quantity due to
additional driveway width at Tri -cities Battery.
#21 Cement Conc. Sidewalk- Actual area was less than the estimated quantities due to the increase
in bid item #19 & #20.
#30. Plastic Crosswalk Line- Actual area was greater than the estimated quantities.
#31. Plastic Traffic Arrows- Remainder paid on Schedule D (duplicated quantities).
#34. Removing Paint Line- Not necessary to remove existing paint for new product adhesion.
#35. Plastic Line- Remainder paid on Schedule D (duplicated quantities).
#36. Plastic Wide Line- Remainder paid on Schedule D (duplicated quantities).
#37. Detector Loop- City elected to use the puck detector system in lieu of detector loops.
