AN ORDINANCE VACATING THAT PORTION OF .MARGARET
STREET LYING BETWEEN THE WESTERLY LINE OF MEAD
AVENUE AND THE EASTERLY LINE OF ILLINOIS AVENUE
AND THAT PORTION OF HENRY STREET LYING BETWEEN
THE WESTERLY LINE OF MEAD AVENUE AND THE EASTERLY
LINE OF ILLINOIS AVENUE, EXCEPT THE CITY OF
PASCO RETAINS THE RIG�IT TO EXERCISF-AND GRANT
EASEMENTS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION, REPAIR, AND
MAINTENANCE OF PUBLIC UTILITIES AND SERVICES
OVER THE NORTH 20 FEET OF THE SOUTH 30 FEET OF
THAT PORTION OF HENRY STREET BEING VACATED, STA-
DIUM PARK ADDITION TO PASCO.
WEEREAS there has heretofore been filed with the City Council
of the City of Pasco by an abutting property owner a Petition re-
questing the vacation of the above described streets and
WHEREAS a Public Hearing thereon was held in the City Council
chambers before the City Council on July 20, 195E-1-, and it appear-
ing that there was no objection to the vacation of a portion of
said streets and it further being deemed to the best interests of
the City of Pasco, NOW, THEREFORE,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PASCO DO ORDAIN AS FOLL0WS:
Section 10 That from and after the effective date of this
ordinance, that portion of Margaret Street lying between the westerly
line of Mead Avenue and the easterly line of Illinois Avenue and
that portion of Henry Street lying between the Westerly line of
Mead Avenue and the easterly line of Illinois Avenue except the
City of Pasco retains the right to exercise and grant easements for
the construction , repair, and maintenance of public utilities and
services over the north 20 feet of the south 30 feet of that portion
of Henry Street being vacated, Stadium Park Addition to Pasco,
Franklin County, Washington, be and the same hereby is, declared
to be vacated of any,public use whatsoever.
Section 2, That this ordinance shall be in full force and
effect 5 days after its passage and publication as required by law.
PASSED by the City Council of the City of Pasco this 17th
day of August, 1954.
