Mitch Nickolds, Inspection Services Manager, advised the Code Board that in July more notices have
been issued than in any previous months. This means that the August case load is going to be even larger.
Most of the violations will be for dog licensing and business licensing. They will also most likely be in
September. In October, regular nuisance abatement and code enforcement will be back on track.

Code Enforcement Activity Report
UM
(4) Pasco Rental License Program: January- December 2013
This report
tracks progress in
the
annual licensing of rental
units.
As of
February 1,
2013, we estimated
that
there are 6,357 rental units
in the
City.
As license applications and non - rental certifications are received, these units
are deleted from the figure of our original estimate of the total number of
rental units. As of June 30, 5,305 dwelling units have been licensed or
certified as non - rentals. This is over 83% of the estimated total.
June Code Enforcement/Rental License Program Highlights
In June, 486 violation notices were issued by code enforcement officers to owners
of dogs who, despite three previous attempts to secure their voluntary compliance,
failed to renew their 2013 dog licenses. The 486 dog license violations issued in
June comprised almost 87% of the total monthly code enforcement output of 559
cases.
The July report will be submitted on August 10, 2013. If you have any questions
during the interim, please call.
