REGULAR MEETING 5:15 P.M. June 13, 2012
I. 5:15—CALL TO ORDER:

Present: Dan Stafford; Tom Brandon; Devi Tate; Marilynn Baker.
Absent: Dave Dalthorpe (excused—broken wrist)
III. APPROVAL OF MINUTES:
May 16, 2012 - Approved as corrected
IV. 5:20—OLD BUSINESS:
A. None
V. PUBLIC HEARINGS:
A. None
II. WORKSHOP:
A. Discussed City Council Goal for Historic Preservation Plan. Draft Plan was
presented to the Commission by staff. Discussion included Adding Vision and
Mission statements (examples drawn from the Franklin County Historic
Society 2010 FCHS Vision & Goals e-mail); replacing the word "policy" with
either "administrative guidelines," "procedures," or "objectives;" Establishment
of a local historic register based on events important to Pasco history; Tax
special valuation as an incentive for restoration of residential units;
"Featuring" historic homes and buildings as part of an annual historic walk;
Adding stories, reconstructions, monuments, etc., as additional ways of
building history awareness among the community (as many historic
structures have been demolished or altered beyond repair).
B. Discussed acquisition of land for railroad museum.
III. 5:55—OTHER BUSINESS:
A. Commissioner Marilyn Baker shared her conversation with Mary Kay Britton
concerning the PHS Team Pasco students' willingness to provide construction
service for a railroad museum.
