IV. 5:20—OLD BUSINESS:
A. None
V. PUBLIC HEARINGS:

II. WORKSHOP:
A. The Commission discussed the draft Historic Preservation Plan, using
Marilynn Baker's markup copy (shared with the Commission) for reference.
a) The Commission approved the History section.
b) Commissioners requested a standard by which historic resources found on
the draft Historic Resources Index (HRI) could qualify for the City of Pasco
Historic Register (CPHR). Staff directed Commissioner's attention to the list
of criteria found in Policy HP 5.1.
c) The Commission generally approved Goal HP with its policies (M. Baker:
Abstain).
d) In conjunction with Policy HP3.2, the Commission requested clarification
on the term "Historic Resources." Staff explained that the intent of this
verbiage was to describe historically significant buildings, districts, objects,
sites and structures.
III. 6:35—OTHER BUSINESS:
A. Commission Chair Dan Stafford brought an original pre-1900 Pasco Headlight
newspaper for show-and-tell.
