On-going services, activities and classes
o Free Foot Care: For seniors 60 years of age or older that reside in Franklin
County or Burbank is offered at the Pasco Senior Center. An appointment is
necessary and can be made by calling 545-3459. There is no charge however a
suggested donation of $10 per person is gladly accepted.
o Walking: Monday through Friday, 8 – 10 am in the multi-purpose room.
o AARP Driver Safety Program (ages 50+): $12 AARP member / $14 non-
members, payable to the instructor on the first day of class. Classes are held at
the Pasco Senior Center. To register call 545-3459 or go to
www.pascoparksandrec.com.

o China Painting: Learn the art of Painting on Porcelain. This is an open class so
there is no instructor however the more experienced painters would be happy to
help you. Students must provide all supplies. This class is provided by the Pasco
Senior Association, a non-profit, 501C3 organization.

o Dance, Dance, Dance (ages 40+): Enjoy live music from the Columbia River
Dance Band. Sponsored by the Pasco Senior Citizen’s Association.

o Meals on Wheels: Enjoy a delicious and nutritious lunch. Reservations are
required 24 hours in advance and may be made by calling 509-543-5706. *$2.75
suggested donation for seniors 60+.

Upcoming events, activities and classes
o Internet Dangers for Kids & Teens (ages 18+) - Do you know what your kids
are doing on line? This hour long internet Safety presentation will give parents an
understanding about the different risks children are facing online including:
Cyber bullying
revealing too much information
online predators
sexting
Parents will learn valuable information about these risks, tips on how to protect
their children while they are online, and how to communicate with them about
making safer decisions online. This is a FREE seminar sponsored by the Support,
Advocacy & Resource Center of the Tri-Cities and the City of Pasco.
Pre-registration is recommended. Walk-ins will be taken on a space available
basis.

o Wavemakers Aqua Fit (ages 18+): Oasis Physical Therapy offers something
new for the Tri- Cities! This warm water exercise class includes: An underwater
treadmill, upper body strengthening exercises, leg strengthening exercises, core
strengthening exercises, stretching, hydro therapy (water jets). All classes are
guided by Oasis Physical Therapy staff. If you suffer from Arthritis, Fibromyalgia,
low back pain, or muscle weakness; if you use a cane or walker; if you just love
to exercise in the water, this class might be for you! The pool is heated to 88
degrees helping to keep your muscles, ligaments and tendons warm and cozy
while you exercise. It’s so much fun you won’t feel like you are working out. If
you have specific needs please check with your doctor to see if this class is right
for you. *No class Nov 12, 21 & 22

o Enhance Fitness (ages 40+): An exercise program designed for mature
individuals, focusing on flexibility, balance, low-impact aerobics, strength training,
and stretching. This program is an evidence-based senior exercise program
developed and managed by the University of Washington Health Promotion
Research Center, Senior Services of Seattle/King County, and Group Health
Cooperative.

o Beading - Earring Bonanza (ages 12+) - JUST IN TIME FOR THE HOLIDAY
SEASON! How many pairs of earrings can you make in 2 hours? You’ll find out
during our first ever Earring Bonanza days. We’ll provide the hardware (hooks and
headpins), filler beads, and some tools. You provide the signature be ads, special
findings, and creativity. Have beads left over from other projects that you don’t
know what to do with? Why not bring them and trade with other beaders during
this fun 2 hour event.

o Breakfast with Santa (all ages) - Enjoy all-you-can-eat pancakes, ham, coffee,
juice and hot chocolate. Kids will get the opportunity to visit with Santa. Don’t
forget to bring your camera so you can get that special holiday photo to send with
all your Christmas correspondence. You may register on line at
www.pascoparksandrec.com, or in person at the Pasco Senior Center or Pasco
Recreation Services Office. No refunds will be issued for this event. If you are
unable to attend you may transfer your reservation to another individual by call-
ing the Pasco Senior Center at 509-545-3459. Reservation transfers will not be
honored for those that do not contact our office. No reservation transfers will be
taken the day of the event.

o Yoke’s Fresh Market Holiday Dinner - Enjoy a traditional holiday dinner with
all the fixings including dessert! Dinner will be served at 5:00 p.m. Seating is
limited to the first 250 people. Pre-registration is required and will be
accepted beginning November 1st. We will take reservations until full and
then a waitlist will be established. To register call 509-545-3459. This event is
for seniors and their immediate family members.
