CALL TO ORDER Acting Chairperson Speer called the regular meeting of the Code Enforcement Board to order at 7:00 p.m. B. ROLL CALL a. Board Members MEMBERS PRESENT MEMBERS ABSENT Daniel Gottschalk, Chairperson Dwayne Speer Don Cooper Mary Gutierrez Dennis Duncan Secretary Nickolds noted that there were four members present and a quorum was met. C. ADOPTION OF MINUTES: Board Member Cooper moved, seconded by Board Member Duncan, that the minutes of the June 7, 2012 meeting be approved as mailed. The motion carried unanimously. Board Member Cooper moved, seconded by Board Member Gutierrez, that the minutes of the June 28, 2012 meeting be approved as mailed. The motion carried unanimously. D. DETERMINATION HEARINGS: Acting Chairperson Speer explained the procedure and purpose for the meeting, noting that the City of Pasco was the Petitioner and property owners and their authorized representatives who had appeared to discuss the alleged violations of the Pasco Municipal Code were the Respondents. a. Administration of Oaths All City staff who wished to provide testimony before the Board were sworn to truthfulness by Acting Chairperson Speer. b. Hearings Scheduled Acting Chairperson Speer noted no cases were scheduled for hearings and asked the Secretary to proceed with amendments to the resolution. c. Amendments i. City of Pasco vs. Ramos, Josephine case number CEB2012-2441 for the property of 212 N Cedar Avenue Mr. Nickolds recommended this case be continued to the August 8, 2012 Code Enforcement Board Meeting. d. Dismissals None 07122012 Ceb Minutes Page 2 of 2 e. Motion Board Member Duncan made a motion, seconded by Board Member Cooper, to approving Resolution No. 2012-07 as amended, finding that code violations have been corrected and may be dismissed, deferring on certain cases until proper notification is made, accepting voluntary corrective agreements, accessing penalties and opposing timeframes in certain cases. The motion carried unanimously. E. STAFF REPORT AND OTHER BUSINESS: Secretary Nickolds stated that staff has completed over 2,000 dog license complaints in the past two months. They will be getting responses to backlogged nuisances in August. F. ADJOURNMENT There being no further business before the Pasco Code Enforcement Board, the meeting was adjourned by Acting Chairperson Speer at 7:05 p.m. ______________________________ Mitch Nickolds, Secretary MN/ks
