Old Business
A discussion regarding the kitchen remodel took place. The City does not have
the money to update the kitchen without assistance from the other parties that
use the facility. Meals on Wheels has stated that updating the kitchen is not
their responsibility and Aramark appears unwilling to help also.
The City’s Kitchen was recently appraised at $3000 per month. We would like
to increase the amount of rent we are collecting monthly from Aramark. They
are currently paying $1400 per month. Aramark has stated that they are
unwilling to pay higher rent. Both Meals on Wheels and Aramark are actively
looking for another kitchen space to rent as a result of this suggested rental
increase.
Vince Guerrero updated the committee on the new telephone system that is
being installed at the Pasco Senior Center. Most of the Wires have already been
run into all areas of the center. There is still some wiring left to complete before
all the new telephones can be installed at the center.
New Business
The computers in the Senior Center computer lab are in the process of being
replaced with new models. The computers that are being installed in the lab are
used computers from the City. They have an updated operating system and will
be able to access the internet faster than the older models that are currently in
the lab.
With no further business the meeting was adjourned at 10:50 am. The next
meeting will be held Tuesday; August 9, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. Chairperson for this
meeting will be Ron Van Nostrand.
