HomeMy WebLinkAbout051 - Exit Interviews ADMINISTRATIVE ORE> ER NO . 51 TO : All Department April 2 , 1986 FROM : Gary Crutchfield ' it Manager SUBJECT : EXIT INTERVIE EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY , it shall be the administrative policy of the City to conduct exit interviews of all fulltime employees upon separation from the city workforce . I . PURPOSE : To establish a policy whereby exit interviews shall be a required step in the process of all fulltime employee separations from the City . The information obtained will be used only as a tool for improvement of city operations . II . PROCEDURE : 11 When an employee gives notice of separation from the city workforce, the Personnel Officer will provide an " Exit Interview Form" to the employee and request that the employee review the form in preparation for the actual exit interview ; at the employee's option , the form may be fully or partially completed in writing and submitted to the Personnel Officer and/or City Manager . 2 ) The exit interview will be conducted by the City Manager and/or the Personnel Officer . III , CONFIDENTIALITY : All information exchanged during an exit interview will be considered as confidential information and will be treated as such . A fully or partially completed interview form , if submitted by an employee, will likewise be treated as confidential material .
