SUBJECT: HOLD HARMLESS AGREEMENT .
Attached for use of all city departments , as needed , is a standard form
" Hold Harmless Agreement " prepared by the City Attorney .
Departments requiring a hold harmless agreement (i . e . contract of indemnity )
can utilize the form by filling in the appropriate blank spaces .
At the space beginning with: "Whereas " , the department will fill in
generally what the indemnitor is going to be doing which gives rise for the
need of the hold harmless agreement .
In the next blank space insert more specific details as to the action to be
taken by the indemnitor .
Lastly , if you have any doubts about other aspects of the indemnity
situation , please confer with the City Attorney .
