HomeMy WebLinkAboutN-275 - Use of City Accounts Name CITY OF PASCO ADMINISTRATIVE ORDERS Administrative Order No. 275 Personnel Policies & Procedures Subject: Use of City Accounts/Name Initial Effective Date: December 19, 2008 Revised Approved The following Administrative Order is effective immediately. I. PURPOSE: This Administrative Order is issued to establish a policy and expectations regarding use of the City's accounts and/or name for personal benefit. II. DEPARTMENTS/EMPLOYEES AFFECTED: All III. REFERENCES: RCW 42.52.140; RCW 42.52.010 (10) (i) IV. POLICY: 1. Under no circumstances may an employee of the City use the City's accounts for personal discounts with vendors. To be more specific, employees may not receive the equivalent of the City's discount if that purchase is recorded on the City's account. 2. Vendor records of City accounts (e.g., accounts payable, invoices, etc.) reflecting an employee purchase for other than City use of the purchased materials/service will be considered prima facie evidence of violation of this policy and be grounds for discipline, unless proven otherwise. 3. It is not the intent of this policy to prevent the City's employees from realizing discounts on personal purchases if they are available to employees as a group (but it cannot occur through the use of City accounts in any case).
