A RESOLUTION approving the purchase of certain real property by
the Sewer Utility Fund.
WHEREAS, the City of Pasco provides potable water and waste water treatment services
for more than 50,000 residents and growth projections for the city indicate the need for additional
utility service capacity, particularly in the western end of the city's large service area; and
WHEREAS, the tract of land situated near the I-182 highway bridge was recently offered
for sale; and
WHEREAS, an environmental review of the site revealed no adverse environmental
condition, and the proposed purchase price is deemed appropriate for the size and location of the
tract; NOW THEREFORE,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PASCO, WASHINGTON, DO
RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: The City Council hereby approves the purchase of that real property legally
described in Exhibit "A" attached hereto and made a part hereof, in the amount of$300,000, by
and for the use of the sewer utility fund.
Section 2: The City Manager is hereby authorized to execute all documents necessary and
appropriate to consummate the purchase approved herein.
