A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF PASCO, WASHINGTON, ACCEPTING AND
ADOPTING THE COMPREHENSIVE PARKS AND RECREATION PLAN, 2005
UPDATE.
WHEREAS, the citizens of the City of Pasco benefit from the recreation programs and
park and recreation facilities that are provided by the City and other entities within the
community; and
WHEREAS, the leisure and open space needs of our community can best be met through
a process that identifies needs and resources, establishes goals and policies and prioritizes
expenditures; and
WHEREAS, the City has undertaken a planning process to guide its decisions with
respect to park and recreation facilities and recreation programming, and the process has been
conducted in conformance with the planning policies of the Washington Interagency Committee
for Outdoor Recreation;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF PASCO:
1. Accepts and adopts the City of Pasco Comprehensive Parks and Recreation Plan, 2005
Update;
2. Authorizes and directs the submission of said plan to the Washington State Interagency
Committee for Outdoor Recreation; and
3. Directs staff to guide facility maintenance and development and recreation planning
activities in conformance with the plan.
