A RESOLUTION redesignating the number assigned to the Park Fund Improvements
Resolution, rescinding Duplicate Resolution No. 2823 and authorizing the expenditure of Park
Fund monies for certain park improvements.
WHEREAS, on July 6, 2004, the City Council passed a resolution identified as Resolution No. 2823
and authorizing the expenditure of park fund monies for certain park improvements; however, Resolution No.
2823 had been previously assigned to a prior resolution, and the City Council desires to clarify the duplication
of resolution numbers in the record by assigning a new resolution number to the Park Fund Improvements
Resolution and rescinding the Duplicate Resolution No.2823 passed on July 6,2004;and
WHEREAS, Chapter 3.29 of the Pasco Municipal Code establishes the Park Fund and provides for the
expenditure of monies from said fund on the approval of the City Council; and
WHEREAS there are certain park planning districts where monies are available for park improvements,
which improvements would not normally be of such a magnitude as to be included in the City's Capital Plan;
and
WHEREAS there are certain park planning districts which are not likely to see significant new
residential development in the foreseeable future; and
WHEREAS the City Council desires to authorize expenditures for park improvements, consistent with
the intent of PMC Chapter 3.29, for various parks as listed herein;NOW THEREFORE
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PASCO:
SECTION 1: That City staff is authorized to procure the following listed improvements for parks
within park planning districts as designated and in such amounts as will not exceed the budget for each district.

7 Riverside Tables,trees, fountain $19,000
9/10 Centennial Shade structure,table,trees,ADA path $15,000

9/10 Lucas Shade structure,table,trees,ADA path $15,000

SECTION 2: The duplicate Resolution No. 2823 relating to Park Fund Improvements approved by the
City Council on July 6,2004 is hereby rescinded in its entirety.
