A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING MEMBERSHIP IN THE
ASSOCIATION OF WASHINGTON CITIES WORKERS
COMPENSATION RETROSPECTIVE RATING PROGRAM
WHEREAS, The City of Pasco desires to keep their employees covered under the
Washington State Department of Labor & Industry (L&I) Industrial Insurance umbrella, and
WHEREAS, The City of Pasco realizes L&I insurance is costly but necessary and the
premiums are partly determined by past history of claims, and
WHEREAS,The City of Pasco has determined there are various ways that could be
more effective in reducing claims and the quarterly premiums paid to L&I, and
WHEREAS,one of the ways to reduce claims and the quarterly premiums is to join a
Retrospective Rating Group to help manage industrial insurance claims and help promote and
provide additional safety training for employees.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF PASCO, WASHINGTON
HEREBY RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
Authorization: The City Manager, or his designee, is hereby authorized to sign the
documents necessary to join the Association of Washington Cities Workers
Compensation Retrospective Rating Group.
PASSED by the City Council of the City of Pasco, Washington, this 3rd day of May , 2004.
SIGNED in authentication of its passage this 3rd day of May, 2004.
