A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE FORMATION OF AN ADVISORY
COMMITTEE TO REVIEW EXISTING SIGN CODE REGULATIONS AND
RECOMMEND APPROPRIATE CHANGES.
WHEREAS, the City sign code now in use was enacted 34 years ago; and
WHEREAS, Sections of the sign code are outdated, inconsistent, and do not address the
location of signs in all zoning districts; and
WHEREAS, signs have a major visual impact on the community and often generate
strong and divergent opinions;NOW THEREFORE,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PASCO, WASHINGTON DOES
RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. A nine (9) member Sign Code Review Committee consisting of
representatives of the following groups shall be formed:
• City Planning Commission (2)
• Code Enforcement Board (1)
• PDDA (1)
• Pasco Chamber of Commerce (3)
• Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (1)
• At Large appointment by Mayor (1)
Section 2. The selection of representatives shall be made by the designated
organizations.
PASSED by the City Council of the City of Pasco, this 2nd_ day of February ,
2004.
