A RESOLUTION IN SUPPORT OF THE TRI CITY REGIONAL AQUATICS
TASK FORCE AQUATIC FACILITY DESIGN CONCEPT STUDY.
WHEREAS, the City of Pasco is committed to providing quality recreational programs
and facilities for its residents; and
WHEREAS, the City has a long history of maintaining public swimming facilities and
recognizes the need to modernize its facilities and increase access thereto; and
WHEREAS, the City of Pasco supports the concept of cooperation between local
governments to foster the development of cost effective and efficient public facilities; and
WHEREAS, the Tri City Regional Aquatics Task Force has raised funding to
commission a Design Concept Study for a possible Tri City Regional Indoor Aquatics Facility
and has requested the endorsement of the Pasco City Council in the undertaking of said study;
NOW THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PASCO:
That the Pasco City Council hereby endorses the undertaking of the Tri City Regional Aquatics
Task Force to prepare a Design Concept Study to include an analysis of regional aquatic needs,
conceptual facility plans, and construction and operational costs.
PASSED by the City Council of the City of Pasco,at its regular meeting, February 2,
2004.
