HomeMy WebLinkAbout2765 Resolution RESOLUTION NO. A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE CY 2004 COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT ALLOCATIONS AND ANNUAL WORK PLAN. WHEREAS, the City of Pasco will receive a grant of approximately $706,000 from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development in calendar year 2004, plus a carry over of$52,000 from a HUD 2003 funding increase due to the 2000 Census data; and WHEREAS, the city expects to have available approximately $50,500 in additional Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds available for CY 2004, thereby representing a total CDBG capacity of approximately $808,500 for CY 2004; and WHEREAS, the city has solicited proposals for the use of said funds for the purposes authorized under the CDBG program; and WHEREAS, the City staff and Planning Commission have reviewed the proposals and, after a public hearing and due consideration, recommended allocation of the anticipated funding in the form of an annul work plan, as required by HUD; and WHEREAS, the City Council has reviewed the recommendations of the staff and Planning Commission regarding the proposed use of funds;NOW THEREFORE THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PASCO, WASHINGTON DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. That the CY 2004 allocation of CDBG funds and Annual Work Plan shall be as follows: 1. Program Administration $70,000 2. Code Enforcement 48,000 3. Recreation Specialist- MLCC 37,500 4. Recreation Program—Civic Center 37,500 5. Senior Citizen Program 37,500 6. PDDA Corn Kitchen Start Up 60,000 7. PDDA Fagade Improvement 20,000 8. Handicap Ramps City-Wide 83,000 9. Catholic Family & Child Svcs. —Pasco 20,000 10. Parks & Rec. Dept. —Memorial Park Upgrade 115,000 11. Boys & Girls Club Facility Rehab 190,000 12. Tri-City Enterprise Association 30,000 13. Lourdes Health Network—Wilson House 10,000 14. East Lewis Sidewalk Project 50,000 TOTAL $808,500 Section 2. The expenditure of funds for each of the approved activities shall be substantially consistent with the description proposal filed by the sponsoring agency.
