A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING CERTAIN HEALTH BENEFIT
CHANGES FOR NON-REPRESENTED EMPLOYEES.
WHEREAS, the City Manager has recommended that certain benefit
changes be implemented for the non-represented employee group in concert
with the health and benefits contract renewal on June 1, 2003; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds the changes requested by the City
Manager to be appropriate, cost effective improvements to the Health Benefits
Plan for non-represented employees; NOW, THEREFORE,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PASCO, WASHINGTON, DOES
HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized and directed to
include in the Health Benefits Plan renewal effective June 1, 2003 the following
changes:
• "Wellness" (preventive) services to be defined by the City Manager in
consultation with appropriate health care advisors;
• Emergency Room Deductible.
Section 2. The additional costs associated with the authorized changes
shall be added to the monthly premium shared with non-represented
employees in accordance with Resolution No. 2629.
PASSED by the City Council of the City of Pasco, Washington, and
approved as provided by law this 5th day of May, 2003.
