A RESOLUTION adopting the name of "Island Park" for the
new park located on Wrigley Drive between Dundas Lane and
Flores Lane and "Heritage Park" for the new park located between
Road 42 and 44 at Park Street.
WHEREAS, the City Parks and Recreation Advisory Council has
recommended names for the new City parks being constructed in the Island
Estates Subdivision and between Roads 42 and 44, and
WHEREAS, following meetings with residents of the neighborhood to be
served by the new parks and considering the best interests of the community,
the Advisory Council has recommended the names of "Island Park" and
"Heritage Park" for the respective facilities; NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PASCO:
That the new park located on Wrigley Drive between Dundas Land and
Flores Lane named "Island Park", and
That the new park located between Roads 42 and 44 at Park Street shall
be named "Heritage Park" and that the installation of a memorial plaque
recognizing Mike Johnson be authorized in the park.
PASSED by the City Council of the City of Pasco this 2" day of
December, 2002.
