RESOLUTION NO. 2697
A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE CY 2003 COMMUNITY
DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT ALLOCATIONS AND ANNUAL
WORK PLAN.
WHEREAS, the City of Pasco will receive a grant of approximately
$654,000 from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development in
calendar year 2003; and
WHEREAS, the City expects to have available approximately $50,000 in
additional Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds available for CY
2003, thereby representing a total CDBG capacity of approximately $704,000
for CY 2003; and
WHEREAS, the City has solicited proposals for the use of said funds for
the purposes authorized under the CDBG program; and
WHEREAS, the City staff and Planning Commission have reviewed the
proposals and, after a public hearing and due consideration, recommended
allocation of the anticipated funding in the form of an annul work plan, as
required by HUD; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has reviewed the recommendations of the
staff and Planning Commission regarding the proposed use of funds; NOW
THEREFORE
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PASCO, WASHINGTON DO
RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That the CY 2003 allocation of CDBG funds and Annual Work
Plan shall be as follows:
1. Program Administration $70,000
2. Code Enforcement 48,000
3. Recreation Specialist - MLCC 37,000
4. Recreation Program - Civic Center 35,000
5. Senior Citizen Program 28,000
6. PDDA Com Kitchen Start Up 45,000
7 PDDA Facade Improvement 21,000
8. Handicap Ramps City-Wide 50,000
9 Catholic Family & Child Svcs. - Pasco 20,000
10. Pasco Community Business Dev 300,000
11. Boys & Girls Club Facility Rehab 50,000
TOTAL $704,000
Section 2. The expenditure of funds for each of the approved activities
shall be substantially consistent with the description proposal filed by the
sponsoring agency.
PASSED by the City Council of the City of Pasco at a regular meeting this
16' of September, 2002.
