A RESOLUTION authorizing the sale of surplus City
property.
WHEREAS, the City of Pasco holds title to real property located at the
Southeast Corner of Shoshone Street and 3' Avenue described as Lot 8, Block
25, Northern Pacific Plat; and
WHEREAS, the City Council passed Resolution #2654 on April 1st, 2002
declaring said real property as surplus to the needs of the City of Pasco; and
WHEREAS, Resolution #2654 authorized the City manager to solicit
proposals for the sale of said real property for not less than $15,000; and
WHEREAS, the City of Pasco solicited and obtained one responsible bid
for the property; and
WHEREAS, Habitat for Humanity submitted a bid of $15,000 for the
property, which meets the minimum bid price established by Resolution
#2654: NOW THEREFORE,
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PASCO, WASHINGTON DOES THE
RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
1. The City Manager is authorized to sell the property referenced herein to
Habitat for Humanity, for a price not less than $15,000.
2. The City Manager is authorized to sign the (quit Claim Deed as
authorized by this resolution on behalf of the City and conveying the real
property described herein to the purchaser(s).
3. The closing of such purchase shall be at Pasco City Hall. The
purchaser(s) shall be responsible for all costs attendant upon transfer of
the property, including but not limited to, the cost of any title insurance
and recording fees.
Passed by the City Council of the City of Pasco, at a regular meeting this
20th day of May, 2002.
