A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE SALE OF SURPLUS CITY
PROPERTY.
WHEREAS, the City of Pasco holds title to real property described as Lot
8, Block 25, Northern Pacific Plat; and
WHEREAS, said real property was gifted to the City, and;
WHEREAS, the City of Pasco incurred expenses in demolishing the
substandard structures that existed on the property, and;
WHEREAS, said real property is surplus to the needs of the City of Pasco
and it is in the public interest that the property be sold; and
WHEREAS, said property is zoned for residential development and the
City desires the property be developed for uses consistent with the current
zoning; and
WHEREAS, a minimum value for the property must be established to
guarantee a reasonable return; NOW, THEREFORE,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PASCO, WASHINGTON DOES
RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
1. The City Manager is authorized to solicit proposals for the sale of
property for a price not less than $15,000.
2. The property shall be subject to a condition requiring construction
of a residential structure on the property to be owner-occupied within eighteen
(18) months from the date of the deed.
Passed by the City Council of the City of Pasco, at it's regular meeting
this 1" day of April, 2002.
