A RESOLUTION fixing the time and date for a public hearing to consider the
vacation of a portion of Industrial Way.
WHEREAS, a petition has been submitted to the City Council of the City of
Pasco requesting vacation of certain street and alley rights-of-way within the City of
Pasco; and
WHEREAS, from time to time in response to petitions or in cases where it
serves the general interest of the City, the City Council may vacate rights-of-way; and
WHEREAS, R.C.W. 35.79 requires public hearings on vacations to be fixed by
Resolution, NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PASCO:
SECTION 1. That a public hearing to consider the vacation of that portion of the
southwest quarter of Section 8, in Township 9 North, Range 30 East, W.M. City of
Pasco, Franklin County, Washington, described as follows:
Beginning at the southwest corner of said section 8, said corner being South 4'14' 13"
West 5471.86 feet from the northwest corner of said section; thence South 89°23'28"
East along the South line of the southwest quarter of said section 8 a distance of
782.49 feet to a point on the East right-of-way of a proposed extension of Industrial
Way; thence North 1'05'06" East 508.87 feet along said East line to the beginning of
a tangent, 740.00 foot radius curve to the left; thence 133.19 feet along the arc of said
curve through a central angle of 10'18'45" to the TRUE POINT OF BEGINNING;
Thence continuing 67.75 feet along the arc of said curve through a central angle of
5'14'45" to a point on the centerline of an existing rail siding; thence North 60°28'07"
East 2.12 feet along said centerline; thence South 18°46'28" East 67.63 feet; thence
South 71'13'13" West 10.25 feet to the TRUE POINT OF BEGINNING.
as depicted in Exhibit No. 1, will be held before the City Council of the City of Pasco
in the Council Chambers of the City Hall, 525 North 3rd Avenue, Pasco,
Washington, at the hour of 7:00 p.m., on the 15th day of April, 2002. That the City
Clerk of the City of Pasco give notice of said public hearing as required by law.
