A RESOLUTION authorizing the sale of certain surplus real
property on South 10"' Avenue near West Lewis Street.
WHEREAS, land located in a section of South 10"' Avenue right-of-way
near West Lewis Street is surplus to the present and future needs of the City;
and
WHEREAS, due to their small size and irregular shape these lands only
have development potential as part of an adjacent development; and
WHEREAS, additional retail development in the downtown area will
assist in the revitalization of the area and improve the City's tax base; and
WHEREAS, the sale of these sections of surplus right-of-way can best
fulfill the City's objectives if accomplished through negotiated sale to developers
of adjacent properties; and
WHEREAS, Gaylord Real Estate LLC has agreed to terms and conditions
for the purchase of approximately 8,300 sq. ft. on South 10�" Avenue near West
Lewis Street, such terms and conditions being appropriate to fulfill the City's
objective; NOW THEREFORE
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PASCO, WASHINGTON DO
RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
(1) That the sale of approximately 8,300 sq. ft. of surplus real property
on South 10`" Avenue near West Lewis Street to Gaylord Real Estate LLC, be
approved subject to all terms and conditions in the attached Purchase and Sale
Agreement.
(2) The City Manager is hereby authorized to execute all documents
necessary to effect the sale of the property in accordance with the Purchase
and Sale Agreement.
PASSED by the City Council of the City of Pasco, this 6"' day of August,
2001.
