A RESOLUTION Declaring Certain Real Property Surplus.
WHEREAS, the City of Pasco acquired Lots 23 - 32, School Block Plat,
Gerry's Addition to Pasco, for use as City Hall and associated parking more
than 50 years ago; and
WHEREAS, the City Hall operation was moved to 525 N. 3rd Avenue in
1995, rendering the old City Hall at 412 W. Clark Street surplus to city needs;
and
WHEREAS, the fire station at 412 W. Clark Street has become obsolete
and surplus to the city's needs as a result of moving the fire department offices
to the new Fire Station #1 now located on Oregon Avenue; NOW, THEREFORE,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PASCO, WASHINGTON, DO
RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That Lots 23 - 32, School Block Plat, Gerry's Addition to
Pasco, together with the fire station and old City Hall building and associated
parking, all located thereon, are surplus to the needs of the City of Pasco and it
is in the public interest that said properties be made available for sale.
Section 2. That the City Manager is hereby authorized to solicit
purchase proposals for said properties.
PASSED by the City Council of the City of Pasco at a regular meeting
this 20th day of February, 2001.
