HomeMy WebLinkAbout2463 Resolution RESOLUTION NO. 2463 A RESOLUTION CREATING THE CITY OF PASCO ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT ADVISORY COMMITTEE AND APPOINTING CITY OF PASCO REPRESENTATIVES. WHEREAS, the City of Pasco desires strong economic growth both now and in the future; and WHEREAS, the City has entered into an agreement with the Evergreen Community Development Corporation to form an Economic Development Advisory Committee; and WHEREAS, establishing a committee of prominent citizens who are charged with developing economic strategies and plans for the City of Pasco meets the requirements of the aforementioned agreement; NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PASCO, DO RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. There is hereby created the City of Economic Development Advisory Committee which will be charged with marketing the SBA 504 loan program to potential businesses and with developing strategies and plans to assist in the commercial development of the City of Pasco, bringing new jobs and a strong economic base to the City. Section 2. The Committee shall consist of thirteen (13) members to be appointed by the City Council. The committee shall select a chairperson from its membership. The Community Development Director or designee shall serve as Secretary for the Committee. Section 3. The Committee shall be made up of the following individuals: Bob Tippett - Tippett Land & Mortgage; Mark Morrissette - Baker & Giles CPA's; Cal Ivey - Broadmoor Park; Jim Toomey - Port of Pasco; John Hornstein - Seafirst Bank; Julie Killian - Columbia Trust Bank, Marty Otten - Columbia Trust Bank; Jan Francis - Safeguard Supply; Spence Jilek - Pasco Dentist; Sal Contreras - MBM Express; Carl Leth - U.S. Bank; and two representatives from the Evergreen Community Development Corporation. Section 4.
