RESOLUTION NO. 2415
A RESOLUTION authorizing the sale of surplus City properties.
WHEREAS,the City of Pasco has acquired title to real property located at Lots
Lots 21-24, Block 5 A.M., Wehe's Addition;Lot 9,Block 24, Replat of Highland
Park Homes;Lot 2, Block 4, Acre Park Addition; and a section of land on Cedar
Avenue between Adelia Street and Broadway Boulevard through the purchase of
tax foreclosed properties from Franklin County;and
WHEREAS, said real properties are surplus to the needs of the City of Pasco and
it is in the public interest that the properties be sold to raise revenues for the Local
Improvement Guarantee Fund and be placed back on the tax rolls for the City and
the County.
WHEREAS, a minimum value for the properties must be established to
guarantee a reasonable return, now therefore,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PASCO, WASHINGTON DOES
RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
1. The City Manager is authorized to solicit bids and to negotiate a sales
agreement for the properties referenced herein,to purchaser(s) for a price not
less than the established minimum bid price for said lots. Lots that remain
unsold after the bid process will be sold on a first come, first serve basis for
the minimum bid price.
2. The deed(s) for these properties shall state that the sale is subject to the
construction of a residential structure thereon to be sold to and/or occupied by
an owner-occupant within eighteen(18)months from the date of the deed(s).
3. The City Manager is authorized to sign deeds as authorized by this resolution
on behalf of the City and conveying the real properties described therein to the
purchaser(s).
4. The closing of such purchase shall be at Pasco City Hall. The purchaser(s)
shall be responsible for all costs of recording the Deed(s) and for the costs of
any title insurance desired by the purchaser(s).
Passed by the City Council of the City of Pasco, at a regular meeting this 21 st day of
December, 1998.
