HomeMy WebLinkAbout3971 Ordinance ORDINANCE NO. 3 AN ORDINANCE of the City of Pasco, Washington, amending Section 3.06.010 "Establishment of Real Estate Excise Tax, Use of Proceeds" to Fund Capital Projects Specified in a Capital Facilities Plan Element of a Comprehensive Plan. WHEREAS, the City of Pasco has by Ordinance No. 2594, imposed an excise tax on sale of real property within the corporate limits of the City at a rate not exceeding one-quarter of one percent of the selling price as authorized by RCW 82.46.010; and WHEREAS, the City of Pasco has a population in excess of 5,000 people, and is fully planning under the Growth Management Act (RCW 36.70A), which are the requirements for application of revenues generated from this tax to be utilized for capital projects specified in the Capital Facilities Plan element of the City of Pasco's Comprehensive Plan; NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PASCO, WASHINGTON, DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. That Section 3.06.010 entitled "Establishment of Real Estate Excise Tax, Use of Proceeds" of the Pasco Municipal Code shall be and hereby is amended and shall read as follows: 3.06.010 ESTABLISHMENT OF REAL ESTATE EXCISE TAX, USE OF PROCEEDS. There is established and imposed an excise tax on each sale of real property in the corporate limits of the City at a rate of one-quarter of one percent of the selling price.
